Jeff Pitts moved to the Wilmington area in the early 90’s from NH and then to Hampstead in 2004. From an early age he was determined to be a home builder. He started his first company at the age of 20 that specialized in home and property maintenance. A few years later, the projects had grown larger and more complex and Custom Design Builders Inc was formed. He obtained his NC Building license by the time he was 24. For the next several years he specialized in home renovations and additions. His goal was to ultimately build homes. By 26, he was able to venture into the custom home market. In the years spent repairing issues in homes both old and new, he learned what works and what doesn’t. As the son of a builder and engineer, he enjoyed the challenge of building individual “one of a kind” homes that required problem solving. After the forming of BCL Homes, he continued for several years on the custom side until it was clear that his full attention was best placed on BCL Homes.

In his free time, you will likely find him on a piece of equipment moving dirt, on the water with family and friends, or spending time outdoors. He volunteers his time and experience to local committees and boards.
